Wood ChopFest is a professional international sporting event of international stature, based on the concept of prestigious lumberjack compettitions known from the birthplace of this sport — Australia and Tasmania.
What sets us apart? We focus on classic disciplines such as Underhand Chop, Standing Block, and Springboard in their purest form. We are committed to fair play, respect for the tradition and precise organization.
We are a team of active competitors. We dedicate everything to this sport, and we bring the same passion to its organization. Our dream was to create a competition where anyone can compete — from local talents to the world’s elite.

How to Find Us
About Us
We are a group of friends brought together by a passion for
wood and a strong sporting spirit. We organize a three-day
lumberjack competition that attracts competitors from all
over Europe. In this sport, it’s not just about strength, but also
about technique, respect, and fair play.
This year’s edition comes in a new look – we’ve changed the name, but the spirit remains the same. The competition follows the model of Australian-style events, where competitors chop in heats of eight. A long-standing tradition of the event is the white trousers, which have never stayed white until the end of the competition.
And what can spectators actually see at such an event? In addition to men with axes or hand saws, the best female competitors in Europe also come to Chudenice!
